To grass or not to grass!
« on: July 19, 2013, 10:02:31 AM »
If you had the courage, would you put down synthetic grass? And one step further, would you put it down in a different colour to green!!  :o

Some of the grass looks incredibly real nowadays, even with bits of dead grass in it etc. I have often thought about putting it down, but have always been over ruled ~ by everyone actually!!  ;)  I wonder what they would say if I suggested Pink Grass!!  8)

Personally I would! As someone who hates anything to do with gardening I would go for it big time. I really don't see the point in going for something which looks like the real stuff with weeds etc. If you are going to do something them go for gold! (Not literally!) Just do something very different and to heck with how it is expected to look. Any coliour would do and it would only look str4ange until the rest of the world copies  you then you will be a trend setter.  ;D

The good side to this lovely weather is that it is actually killing the grass so it doesn't need cutting! Pave the lot given my way! Might look like a carpark but what the heck!  ::)

A friend of mine has this in the UK and I have to say it looks great! You wouldn't mistake it for real grass but with the right planting around it it can look incredibly lush and exotic.

It would make the "authorities" job difficult when they spy on who has green grass when there is a hosepipe ban!  ;D

Hubby intent on putting me off of this. Latest is "Of course, you wont get all the lovely birds coming down and pecking the grass to find the worms!"   He has a point!  :-\

Yes but just think how clean your windows will be! The seagulls target my car and i'm sure it is because I have grass seed down at the mo!  :) Give me artificial birds too!
