Jelly Fish.
« on: October 09, 2013, 05:39:39 AM »
Those little critters are still about..........and some bigger ones too! The Tonsyls' took their morning dip in the sea yesterday morning by Tamarells and there are still some jelly fish up in the shallows. Easily seen but be careful, nasty unsociable beggars "bite".

The T's took their morning outing to the beach and found what may, or may not be strange. From thr parachute area to roughly El Ancla, many large jelly fish. From that point for about 300 metres, none whatsoever, large or small. From roughly Bellamar to the jetty at Llenaire, lot's and lot's of big bad boys. Question is there a reason for the large clear area, which goes some way out or is it just strange phenominum? Answers at BL's party tomorrow !

Yes, saw some of the  large ones last we whilst on a boat trip in the Bay of Formentor.

They looked rather like large squelchy pulsating hamburgers (of the Burger kind type!!!)   :o

Be warned, Jelly Fish spotted this afternoon during our afternoon swim. For the first time this visit in the shallow water right in front of the Romantic, small, about 3" across and opaque in appearance.

Wow! It looks like a spaceship - pretty scary! There seem to be more sightings this year, or just hanging/floating around for longer!!  :o  Frightening thing to risk going into the sea to swim or even paddle (;-) ). Will stick to walking in November!
