Great tennis yesterday - although they were both eclipsed by Jo-Wilfried, he played a stunning game.

Think it will be Rafa but they are both foreigners anyway  - would like to see Murray win the whole thing as I think it would be good for him (obviously) but good for tennis in general.

Probably Rafa - on the other hand, Murray seems to be in a different mindset this year - no longer doing his thing where he trudges miserably round the court after each point against him - I've seen him making jokes and even smiling, so maybe the new coach will just make the difference between winning and losing... Have to say in the past I would have supported Rafa on this occasion, simply because Murray was always such a grump (as you've guessed, I'm not Scottish!), but today... divided loyalties!

Glad to hear your fridge is up and running, Bloke in the Corner - hope it was just a repair needed and not a whole new appliance...

Rafa's a much better player and a much better person.  Friendly, personable, gracious in defeat, (not that he loses many games.)
Rafa by 3 sets to nil, maybe 3 - 1.   
And he's from Majorca, obviously, my favourte place on the planet and in the universe!!

See that guy applaud the crowd, sign autographs before he came off . He would have done that if he was beaten but that is a mark of a true champion.

Roll on Monday and down to Manacor when he will be back , but the final ain't gonna be easy , he's got a real match on his hands !!

Best man won, although to be fair to the Scottish boy, he played really well in some parts.  Just not consistant enough and I don't think he has that essential killer instinct to be top dog.
I was going to put a bet on Rafa but the odds were too short.
I did put a bet on the 2 Williams sisters to lose their games, and they did!  I won about £60.

Can't stop to chat, I'm afraid - my daughter's getting married in about 2 hours!  Have a nice weekend.  I'll be back Monday.

Well for what's it worth....of course I wanted Andy to win being Bristish!! Well a Scottish Brit...

Anyway we have a new winner now!! Don't hold much hope for Andy ever to win it now  ....think Djokovic will be hungry to win it again and again and think he is capable too!!

Enough of tennis........Really wanted to say a BIG Congratulations to you Pollpott on your Daughters wedding, such a big day for you, hope it all went well and can't wait to hear all about it!
