Ed 8 out tonight
« on: August 17, 2011, 23:38:20 PM »
I know BL should post this, but its out and he hasn't! You cant get the staff these days, honestly!
Anyway, yet another great write up and some strange photos to make you think - what about I'm not really sure, but that's part of the charm.
The retirement of reverend Ellis is my eyecatcher, as it is in the Daily Bulletin link. A lovely man, although we only met him for a short while before he handed over to Michael Redfern who eventually dealt with our 25th wedding blessing.
The riots were a little too close to us for comfort, and the Daily Bulletin took advantage of my facebook chat to get hold of hubby for an interview! The things we do for Mallorca without getting paid! LOL!
So, all in all, a thought provoking read again -thanks Ed! :)
After all is said and done, a lot more will be said than done!

Bloody hell, Bella ( Sorry vicar, if you're reading this )

Don't even get a chance to make a cup of Rosie Lee after working hard all evening trying to keep you all amused and you've scooped me already.

Wasn't like this at the News of the World !

Crackin' stuff as always, BL. As a webbed foot note to the Can Pic ducks, the "masked men" who have let go the live ducks these past few years provided a "surprise" (which they had promised) by not doing anything surprising, i.e. letting some ducks go this year, as a political statement against the new town hall admin. All totally lost on me, I have to say, and nothing to do, one imagines, with the blanket policing of the event.

On the Vic Ellis, be sad to see him depart the pages of The Bulletin. Always a good writer, as befits a one-time PR man for the CofE. But might I just add, as a different foot note, a big up for our own local man with a collar - the Canon Mel. What a thoroughly decent chap he is. Me? Not religious. But I've a lot of time for Mel.

Well done again BL - missing both yourself and the Ladette here in PP.
Particulary miss your morning tai-chi displays in the square at 6am every day,
and the sound of diving from the high board at the pool at 8,
and the one o'clock cannon that you fire from the BonysNest rooftop daily,
and the flag you raise daily at wine o'clock so that we all know when we can get the corkscrew out.
As for the nightly fireworks from the Nest rooftop ........
P.S. Bar Med signs all in place - but they were blurry when I left  ::)
