Ideas for March
« on: February 13, 2012, 21:39:15 PM »
I need a bit of help please. Son and girlfriend may be spending 4 days in the apartment at the end of March, and have asked that I do them an itinerary. Normally I love doing planning, but have a huge amount of other things going on at the moment which is taking up a lot of brain space!  Could I please have some ideas for things to do on the island in four days for two lovebirds. They will have a car and no problem with driving.  Any ideas would be much appreciated!  :-\

As they are lovebirds, I would suggest a lunch at La Victoria, looking back over the bay (assuming they are open of course!).  A drive down to old Palma, spot of tapas at La Cueva and a walk along the Paseo.  What about a tour round one of the olive farms or wineries for a bit of culture, or a visit to the caves at Campanet.  And finally, a drive to the prettiest village in Mallorca, Fornalutx.  Anyone else?

Thanks girlie. Something that needs checking I suppose -the opening times of some things.  They definitely want to visit the tourist caves with the boat coming out of the dark and playing violins - I would have thought 4 or 5 times when my son was young would have been enough, but obviously not!  Like the idea of a vinyard. Any idea which are fully open though in March? Keep the ideas coming please!

Picnic on the beach at Formentor one day if weather ok.
Lunch at Menestralia on way to or from Fornalutx.

Might be too late - Santa Margalida spring fair, weekend 1 April. Plus the fabulous mediaeval Alqueria/Es Turo just outside Sta Margalida for its grill, tapas wheels or tumbets.

Bella I'm sure their days are complete now as there have been some wonderful suggestions.

Just incase they have a few hours spare this link may help.

They have some lovely boat trips mentioned. Not sure if March may be too early but certainly looks exciting.

Thanks eleanor. Have certainly got a good list of suggestions for them to look at. May do some of them ourselves too next time we are out! May have to push the romantic side a bit harder though!  ::)
